Three USA Teams to Travel North for 2023 CanAm Indoor Series

TORONTO, Canada – For the second year in a row, USA Field Hockey and Canada Field Hockey’s Indoor Programs will be participating in the now annual CanAm Indoor Series. This year taking place March 18 and 19 at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada, the series will feature squads from the Junior U.S. Men’s National Indoor Team, Junior U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team and Senior U.S. Men’s National Indoor Team.

The Junior Men will be led by Erik Enter and managed by Kathy Schiller. Aaron Finer will be the physiologist.

The Junior Women will be led by head coach Jun Kentwell and managed by Richard Kentwell.

 

“This CanAm Indoor Series is a very good opportunity for our young indoor players to get their first taste of international competition,” commented J. Kentwell. “With the next Indoor Pan American Cup (IPAC) scheduled for May 2024, this will also allow our coaching staff to evaluate each player’s potential for further international exposure.”

 

“We have a strong core group of players who successfully competed at the Indoor World Cup earlier this month and I am looking for talented young players to join the senior squad and create stronger competition for places on our IPAC team.”

The Senior Men will be led by head coach Jason Mulder and managed by Nigel Traverso. Finer Finer will be the physiologist.

To prepare, the men’s teams will compete in the Big Apple International Indoor Championship taking place this weekend, March 3 to 5 at The Training Center in Spring City, Pa.


After a 5-year hiatus, the CanAm Indoor Series resumed in 2022 and will take place annually featuring both the junior and senior teams for both the men and women. The host and location will alternate per year between Canada and the United States.
