It’s the most wonderful time of the year! USA Field Hockey is excited to be gearing up for its fifth annual National Field Hockey Day on Wednesday, September 14, 2017. We're looking forward to making this our best and biggest year to date and can't wait to celebrate with you!

How to Participate 

  • Invite neighbors, family, and friends to watch you play
  • Host a youth clinic
  • Umpire or coach
  • Host an equipment drive for a community or team in need
  • Create signs, t-shirts, and headbands celebrating your love for field hockey
  • Submit your “old school” photos for Flashback Friday
  • Support #GrowTheGame programs and initiatives

Contests

USA Field Hockey will be hosting a social media contest leading up to National Field Hockey Day. The contest will consist of a video or photo submission explaining how you #GrowTheGame.

Are you a coach? Have you started a field hockey program in your community? Have you recruited your friends to play? Do you have other family members that play? Do you support the local field hockey teams? Are you an umpire? Volunteer? Field hockey parent? What is it that you do to #GrowTheGame?

Show us how you #GrowTheGame and you could be a lucky winner!

  1. Capture a photo or video showing how you #GrowTheGame 
  2. Post your photo or video to USA Field Hockey’s to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
  3. Tag @USAFieldHockey in your post
  4. Your profile must be public
  5. Include the hashtages #NFHDay2017 and #GrowTheGame 

Deadline for submissions is Thursday, September 14, 2017. USA Field Hockey will announce three winners on Friday, September 15, 2017. Head to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram now to join the challenge!

Winning submissions will be posted on the USA Field Hockey website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
