ASUNCIÓN, Paraguay – Another battle had an unfortunate end for the No. 25 Junior U.S. Men’s National Team as they dropped the 2025 Junior Pan American Games (JPAG) bronze match to No. 18 Chile, 4-2.

A contentious game from the start, USA and Chile fought for sustained possession in the opening frame. It was the 9th minute when Chile found their first goal to take a 1-0 lead. Two penalty corner chances for Chile in the final minute of the first quarter were thwarted by the USA defense.

Chile tallied another field goal early in the second quarter to gain a 2-0 advantage. USA found their first set piece chance not long after, but were unable to convert. It was a quarter of defensive efforts for the Junior Wolves, including several saves from goalkeeper Luke Jackson.

Three minutes into the third quarter, USA got on the board. The goal came after a video review favored USA with a set piece, which Mehtab Grewal scored on to cut Chile's lead to 2-1.

Despite trailing, the Junior Wolves fought hard, including garnering several penalty corner chances in key moments that were fought off by Chile's defense.

Chile reclaimed their two-goal lead in the 55th minute, sending USA into a frantic in the final few minutes. With just under two minutes to play, USA's Charlie Webb scored on a set piece to bring the score to 3-2 still in favor of Chile.
