USA Field Hockey Inks Sponsorship with FIKAGEAR, Hockey5s Sports Leader

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - To fill the need for premier Hockey5s playing opportunities and to support the growth of boys’ and men’s field hockey, USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce a new partnership with FIKAGEAR, the preeminent manufacturer of Hockey5s portable boards and other Hockey5s equipment.

FIKAGEAR, based in The Netherlands, partner of the International Hockey Federation (FIH), EuroHockey, Royal Dutch Hockey Association and 20 more national associations, is a division of the much larger sports conglomerate known as RSI SPORTS GROUP founded in 2011. FIKAGEAR, launched eight years ago by Arnoud Fiolet and others, now approved by the FIH, grew from a vision that Hockey5s will be the next thing to help develop the sport of field hockey all over the globe. The boards were engineered for ease of set up, storage and durability, in addition to shipping. Each set of boards can be accessorized by a handy rolling cart.

The engineers and designers of FIKAGEAR are excited to see Hockey5s take off in the United States. The first FIH Hockey5s World Cup which took place in January 2024 in Muscat, Oman saw the USA women place 9th and the men claim 13th. USA Field Hockey introduced a boys’ Hockey5s division at the 2025 AAU Junior Olympic Games and recently sanctioned the first-ever Hockey5s Chocolate Cup and the integration of the format at the upcoming California Cup. The organization is working actively toward the inclusion of Hockey5s at the World Games in the future with a focus on young athletes and grassroots growth, in addition to continuous improvement and development of the game’s infrastructure such as the FIKAGEAR boards and pitches.
