Registration Opens for 2025 Virtual National Coaches Forum
USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce that registration for the 2025 Virtual National Coaches Forum (VNCF), presented by AAE, is now open. Coaches of all levels are invited to register for this unique, annual event, which offers an opportunity for coaches to engage in interactive learning and networking. Set in a virtual landscape, the forum is easily accessible, allowing participants to join from the comfort of their homes or offices.
The Forum is a three-day event, taking place on Tuesday, December 2, Wednesday, December 3 and Thursday, December 4, 2025. Attendees can register for single days ($50) or for the entire event ($125). Registration includes both live event access as well as recordings, so if you are unable to tune in live, you can still register and gain access to the recordings to watch anytime.
This is a can’t-miss opportunity to learn from some of the brightest minds in the sport of field hockey. The most successful coaches have an incredible ability to simplify the game, transforming complex concepts into clear lessons that build confidence and understanding at every level. This year’s presenters embody that same clarity and purpose, offering insights you can put into practice right away as you prepare for the spring 2026 season and the growth of your next team.
The 2025 lineup includes a cast of experts from across the globe. Day 1 will feature USA Field Hockey’s High-Performance leaders: David Passmore, U.S. Women’s National Team Head Coach; and Allan Law, U.S. Men’s National Team Head Coach. Additionally, Rein Van Eijk, Belgium Women’s National Team Head Coach, will bring his analytical mind and athlete-centered approach in his presentation, Being Unpressable: Outletting Through an International Lens.
Day 2 is highlighted by Marcel Balkstein, a Defense Trainer for the Netherlands and U.S. National Teams. Coaches will gain insight into his view on the modern defender in his presentation, Attack Wins Games, Defense Wins Tournaments. The day will also have a coaches roundtable and presentation by Dr. Alice Atalanta, titled Warriors on the Pitch: Tier-1 Mindset Training for Field Hockey Athletes and Coaches.
Day 3 kicks off with U.S. Men’s National Team Assistant Coach Brendan Creed, who will dive into the art of one of hockey’s most electrifying skills — the drag flick. The two final presentations of the day are to be announced. USA Field Hockey High Performance Director Craig Parnham will moderate.
