USA Field Hockey Seeks Eligible Athlete Candidates for Board of Directors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Field Hockey is seeking eligible candidates for two Athlete positions on the USA Field Hockey Board of Directors.
Do you enjoy strategic thinking, oversight, long range planning and governance? Are you willing to serve further the mission of the sport we love and hold dear while helping to Grow the Game, Serve Members and Succeed Internationally? If so, please apply for Athlete position on the Board of Directors with the term beginning on January 1, 2022 and the one-year term ending on December 31, 2022. Athletes will be eligible for re-election should they so choose after their one-year term.
To be eligible you must fall in to one of the Categories of “10 Year Athlete” or “10 Year+ Athlete” as defined below. For full information, click here. Nominations are due by Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. ET. All athlete representatives (10 Year and 10 Year+) will be directly elected by the pool of athletes who meet the requirements as 10 Year Rule Athlete Representatives for USA Field Hockey.
10 Year Athlete
All current USA Field Hockey Athlete members who have represented the United States as athletes in the Olympic Games, Pan American Games, World Championships or other major international competitions in the sport of field hockey within the ten (10)-year period prior to December 31 of the year in which the election is held.
10 Year+ Athlete
10 Year+ athletes are athletes who participated in the Olympic Games, Pan American Games, World Cup and Pan American Cup from 1980 to 2011.
