2022 National Indoor Tournament & National Indoor Festival Dates Announced

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce the dates for the 2022 National Indoor Tournament (NIT) and 2022 National Indoor Festival (NIF). Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa. and the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, Va. will again host the NIT, and the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va. will host the NIF. Below are the dates for the 2022 NIT and 2022 NIF:

  • National Indoor Festival: February 18-20 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center, Virginia Beach, Va.
  • U-14 Girls NIT: February 18-21 at Spooky Nook Sports, Lancaster, Pa.
  • U-10/12 Co-Ed NIT: February 25-27 at Spooky Nook Sports, Lancaster, Pa.
  • U-19 Boys, U-19 Girls & Adult NIT: February 25-27 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, Richmond, Va.
  • U-16 Girls NIT: March 4-6 at Spooky Nook Sports, Lancaster, Pa.

Participating teams in the U-16 Girls and U-19 Girls NIT will first have to qualify by participating in the 2022 National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers (NITQ) within their respective age divisions. All other age division offerings are based on an open registration system. The 2022 NITQ Host Sites will be announced soon with the registration opening on Wednesday, October 13. Registration for the U-10/12 Co-Ed, U-14 Girls, U-19 Boys and Adult NIT will open on Wednesday, October 20.

 

Set for its inaugural year, following the cancellation of the event in 2021, the 2022 NIF will take place Friday, February 18 through Sunday, February 20 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va. This event will be offered to U-12 Co-Ed, U-14 Girls, U-16 Girls, U-19 Girls, U-19 Boys, Women’s Adult, Co-Ed Adult competitive and recreational divisions. The NIF has been modeled after the National Hockey Festival, where different age divisions have the opportunity to gather over a weekend in the same location to enjoy and play the sport. The NIF will also be run in conjunction with the 2022 World Masters Hockey (WMH) Masters Indoor World Cup (MIWC), where teams across the world will come to Virginia Beach and compete. Registration for the 2022 NIF will open on Wednesday, November 3.
