by USA Field Hockey

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Ahead of the highly anticipated indoor season, USA Field Hockey will be offering a virtual Indoor Umpire Briefing on Monday, December 5. Taking place from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. ET, all umpires, regardless of ages or level, are invited to join USA Field Hockey’s Head of Umpiring Sean Rapaport as he goes through the latest International Hockey Federation (FIH) briefing, discusses rule changes and considers area of attention. He will also address the responsibilities of umpires and highlight the key pillars of indoor umpiring.

With the indoor season on the horizon, now is a great time for a refresher on many rules and situations. Umpiring offers you the ability to stay in the game, make new friends and earn some money in the process.

This is a free event for USA Field Hockey Members and cost $15 for non-USA Field Hockey Members. Registration is now open and will close on Sunday, December 4 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

This event will take place on Microsoft Teams, with the link shared prior to the event. If you are unable to attend live, the recording will be shared to those who register.
