Adult Playing Opportunities
USA Field Hockey is invested in field hockey as a sport for all and a sport for life.
The organization is committing to provide more tools, more resources, better communication and more opportunities to play and enjoy field hockey at various competitive and commitment levels, locally, nationally and internationally. Field hockey is a sport for everyone, at all levels.
Whether you are new to the sport or an experienced player, there are a number of club teams and leagues that offer adult play for any and all skill levels. USA Field Hockey offers adult divisions for men and women at the National Indoor Tournament and National Indoor Festival in February and National Hockey Festival in November.
USA Field Hockey has recognized the United States Field Hockey League (USFHL) as the National League Structure for Adult Club Competition for the Regional and National Club Champions.
The sanctioned events go along with the USFHL's mission to grow adult participation and engagement in the United States. Information and resources on where to play locally can be found on USFHL.com.
Interested in Competing at the Next Level?
If you are an experienced player looking to compete at the highest level, and are older than 35 years old, Masters is for you! U.S Masters in conjunction with the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and World Masters Hockey (WMH) help grow the sport worldwide and provide international competition for adults. Since the WMH was founded in 2012, following the merge of International Masters Hockey Association and World Grand Masters Masters Association, field hockey has grown from just a few teams to more than 100+ from around the globe. Tournaments include the Masters World Cup (indoor and outdoor), with age divisions starting at O-35 and going to O-65. Additional tournaments in the United States and internationally have also been established to develop Masters level of play and foster positive social relations amongst the international field hockey community.
The U.S. Men's and Women's Masters Teams hold annual tryouts. For more information about Team USA Masters tryouts and tournaments, visit the U.S. Masters page by clicking here.
