Last fall, USA Field Hockey introduced Connection Based Coaching – a specialized, free course gifted by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) for every field hockey coach in the United States. And to further help promote Coach Education and incentivize fans to take advantage of this free course, USA Field Hockey is giving away three (3) passes to the 2025 Virtual National Coaches Forum, taking place December 2 to 4, upon completion of the Connection Based Coaching offering.
Giveaway Details
- Complete the free, online Connection Based Coaching course. The course is three (3) modules that can each take ~20 minutes to complete.
- Upon completion, your name will automatically be entered into the overall pool for a chance to win one of three (3) passes to the 2025 Virtual National Coaches Forum.
- Three drawings will take place at 12:00 p.m. ET on:
- Monday, November 17, 2025
- Monday, November 24, 2025
- Monday, December 1, 2025
- The winner of each drawing will be notified by USA Field Hockey’s Coach Education department.
Timeline: Begins Thursday, November 13 and ends Monday, December 1, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Winners will be notified separately.

The course also emphasizes the need for coaches to regularly reflect on their EI competencies to better support their athletes' growth in these areas. Importantly, the benefits of this course extend beyond coaches, offering valuable insights and skills to umpires, athletes, and parents, fostering a more emotionally intelligent and supportive sporting community.
