The Nexus Championship (NXC), presented by Osaka Hockey, will undergo a few exciting changes that will improve the event and overall experience of athletes, families and fans. As announced in spring 2022, Nexus now encompasses the entire junior and senior pathway. Junior Nexus (formerly just Nexus) is for athletes who are 11 years old and older who are not yet enrolled in college; while Senior Nexus (formerly High Performance Centers) is for athletes who have enrolled in college or older.  The Championships for both divisions will take place from July 6 through 16, with age group specific breakdown to come at a later date.

Moving forward Junior Nexus will be comprised of the following age groups to align with advancement to the Junior National Teams and international competition schedule: U-14, U-16, U-18, U-21 for both men and women. The Junior NXC will now hold competitions in those four age groups for summer 2023 and beyond. Once registered for the program, USA Field Hockey’s contact management system Webpoint will automatically sort athletes into their respective age groups for advancements.

Registration for Junior and Senior Nexus will be rolled out throughout the fall of 2022, stay tuned to your email and USA Field Hockey’s social media for details. For questions regarding Nexus and the Junior and/or Senior Nexus Championship, please contact nexus@usafieldhockey.com
