2023 Sunshine Showcase Preview

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - In two days, the Sunshine Showcase, presented by Team IP, returns! As the excitement builds with this annual event hosted at the most magical place on earth, the ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World Resort, USA Field Hockey is thrilled to get back on the fields and welcome the largest event to date. Here is a sneak peak of what's in store at the 2023 Sunshine Showcase.

Everything about the event - including schedule, results, venue map, colleges in attendance and more - can be found in the 2023 Sunshine Showcase Event Program.

Eleven vendors will be in attendance including Adidas/HFS, Approach Clothing, Dita USA, Hocsocx, Longstreth, Osaka Hockey, Pain & Gain/Vlack, Team IP, Teamzila, Wears Woody and YOLO Sportswear.

Vendor Village will be open on Friday, January 27 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET; Saturday, January 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET; and Sunday, January 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. Be sure to stop by and support the vendors this coming weekend!

Stop by the TeamIP booth to purchase the official event merchandise! They will also be introducing Action Face sports action figured. Action Face allows customers to create their own personal sports action figure in two sizes: about 3 inches tall or about 5 inches tall. Action Face sports action figures are the souvenir of a lifetime for athletes, coaches, and fans so they’ll always remember the fun of the Sunshine Showcase experience at Disney World’s home.

USA Field Hockey is excited to highlight Walking Hockey at the 2023 Sunshine Showcase! Join on Field 23 on Friday, January 27 for Walking Hockey Information Sessions from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET and on Saturday, January 28 for Walking Hockey 30-minute slots from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET. All ages are welcome and equipment will be provided.

Walking Hockey is a small-game version in which athletes must walk, the ball cannot be lifted above the knee and sticks don’t go above the waist. It’s FUN, fast, and as competitive and social as you want to make it.

All athletes, coaches, fans and attendees are encouraged to use the hashtag #SunshineShowcase and #ESPNatDisney and tag @USAFieldHockey on social media throughout the event. USA Field Hockey will be re-sharing tags moments to document the annual event.

USA Field Hockey will be seeking quality action shots daily from the 2023 Sunshine Showcase. If you or any coach, parent or family member from your club will be taking photos throughout the event, please submit them to communications@usafieldhockey.com for a chance to be featured in the full gallery!

Team Check-In will be Thursday, January 26 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ET at the location outlined below.

If you cannot make this timeframe, there will be a late Check-in on Friday, January 27 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. ET in the upper press box area.

All rostered coaches need to bring a valid form of identification (copy is okay) to check in to receive their coaching wristbands. All coaches need to bring all participants waivers to Check-In. All participants are required to complete a waiver (minors and adults). If you need waivers, you can find them by clicking here.

Rosters were due on January 11, 2023, but coaches are still able to make edits until the roster lockdown on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

All rosters will be sent and uploaded into Coach Packet.
