    Region 5 Administrative Manager: Sarah Elleman

    Sarah Elleman has been the USA Field Hockey Regional Manager for Region 6: New Jersey since 2017. She is currently the head coach at Stockton University in Galloway, N.J. Since taking the helm in 2016, the Ospreys' have set many program records including wins in a season (15) and winning percentage (.778). Stockton Field Hockey also made the regional rankings several times under her tenure.

    Prior to coaching at Stockton, Sarah had a highly successful run as head coach at Utica College, where she won three Empire 8 Titles, took her team to three NCAA Tournaments and coached three All Americas. She has her USA Field Hockey Level 2 coaching accreditation. She resides in Galloway, N.J. with her husband and three children.

    Region 5 Coach Manager: Nicky Hitchens

    Nicky has served in many roles for USA Field Hockey and has been involved on the regional and national level with the Olympic Development Pathway. She has also served as a manager for the U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team, Junior and Development U.S. National Teams and has been involved in High Performance. She most recently served as a Coach Educator at the 2021 AAU Junior Olympic Games.

    She has coached collegiately at Drexel and is in her 19th season with the program. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 after a decorated career and continues to compete at the U.S. Masters Team level.  Nicky is the Coaching Director for the Mystx Field Hockey Club in Northeast Philadelphia and lives in East Falls with her partner, Renee, and their two dogs.

    Region 5 consists only of the state of Pennsylvania, which is one of just three states in which the USA Field Hockey region is the whole state. Pennsylvania is the largest field hockey state in the country, with more USA Field Hockey Athlete, Coach, Umpire and Lifetime Members than any other state. Pennsylvania is home to some of the top talent in the country, with premier college programs for women, highly developed and competitive high school and middle school play, outstanding clubs and facilities and many coaching and umpiring opportunities.
