U.S. Women’s Masters Names Rosters for 2022 Masters Indoor World Cup

by USA Field Hockey

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The U.S. Women Masters Committee is pleased to announce the rosters that will compete at the 2022 World Masters Hockey (WMH) Masters Indoor World Cup (MIWC). The first international Masters event to take place in the United States, the MIWC will be held February 15 to 20 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va.

In August, the U.S. Women’s Masters Indoor Squads were identified and they had three training practices in October and November to evaluate the selections and narrow the teams.

“This past July, the U.S. Women’s Masters Indoor World Cup tryouts drew the largest number of trialists in its history - 56 registered across all age groups for our in-person tryout and 23 who submitted video for evaluation. The competition was steep to say the least,” said Meghan Plank Robinson, U.S. O-40 Women’s Masters Head Coach and Selector. “One weekend was not enough to come to a decision on teams. We invited many of the players back for 3 training weekends in October and November to finalize selections.”

“The level of talent, fitness, and hockey IQ on display has been tremendous across the board. From the start, our players have shown that they know a great deal about the indoor game. Several have competed at the highest level internationally and domestically throughout their careers. We have seen so much progress in each player over the three training weekends, making the final selections harder yet! We want to congratulate all of the players on a job well done.”
