Shooting Star to Host Annual Masters Tournament in August

EPPING, N.H. - Shooting Star Field Hockey has announced the 2021 Masters Tournament, an 11v11 outdoor event for athletes ages 35 and up.
An official USA Field Hockey Sanctioned Event, Shooting Star Masters is dedicated to providing an elite competitive opportunity to promote adult hockey opportunities in the United States.
Slated for August 7 to 8 at the Seacoast United Sports Complex in Epping, N.H., the Masters Tournament will feature teams competing across four divisions: Women’s and Men’s Over 35 and Over 50. Games will be played on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Hosting its first sanctioned tournament in 2019, Shooting Star Masters has worked closely with the USA Field Hockey Committee to put on a premier event from start to finish. “Shooting Star Masters Tournament is an absolute blast,” said Pam Stuper, USA Field Hockey’s Foundation Director. “For adults 35 years and older, the Masters is a great opportunity to compete and play with your hockey friends.”
A celebratory social will be held on Saturday night following the completion of games in an effort to grow the greater field hockey community. Athletes, as well as their friends and families, will have access to the Saturday night festivities. Stuper agrees with the importance of building relationships off the field commenting, “equally as important as the fun on the field is the third half off the field, the Saturday night social”.
After a year off the pitch due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Shooting Star and USA Field Hockey are thrilled to provide this opportunity for the deserving athletes; “It’s a weekend you don’t want to miss. Grab your stick and a friend. It’s never too late to get back in the game!”
