Junior & Senior Indoor USWNT Tryouts Announced for March 28

SPRING CITY, Pa. – U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team Head Coach Jun Kentwell and her staff have announced that tryouts for the indoor junior and senior USWNT will be held Sunday, March 28, 2021 at The Training Center in Spring City, Pa.

The tryouts will be held throughout the day in 2-hour sessions from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET with 36 athletes per session being evaluated accordingly on three courts under strict COVID-19 guidelines, details of which will be sent to each athlete registering to tryout.

College athletes and coaches who register but are unable to attend on March 28 due to college commitments will be invited to tryout on Sunday, May 16.

“Having come through a difficult COVID-19 indoor season, I am very grateful to USA Field Hockey, and particularly to Lisa McCoy and her staff, for enabling the National Indoor Tournament, to take place,” said Kentwell. “It gave me the opportunity to take a good look at many players and it was pleasing to see the quality our clubs are producing as well as the number of talented women players. We have an exciting year ahead, with the Indoor Pan American Cup and the opportunity to qualify again for the Indoor Hockey World Cup. I encourage all players with the desire and dream to represent Team USA to tryout, which will enable our coaching staff to select the strongest possible national indoor squads.”

All athletes, from the age of 12 through to adult women, interested in training in the U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team Program and playing for the Junior and Senior USWNT should register by clicking here. The deadline to register is Wednesday, March 24.
